Hi Everyone! It's Alyce!
I'm back with a totally awesome DIY for stressed out summer hair! Everyone gets chlorine in their hair from pools, salt in their hair from oceans, and just a bunch of weird chemicals seep their way into your hair during the hot summer months.
And, having very thin hair, summer hair is THE STRUGGLE. So when I was delayed in an airport for three hours (really, airport peeps?) I picked up a Better Homes and Gardens magazine and found this recipe. Of course, it sounded wonderful, and it was so simple that I just HAD to try it!
Recipe from Better Homes and Gardens:
1 Ripe Avocado (Ripe when soft and squishy)
2 Tbsp. Vanilla or Plain yogurt (I used vanilla)
2 tsp. Honey

Recipe from Better Homes and Gardens:
1 Ripe Avocado (Ripe when soft and squishy)
2 Tbsp. Vanilla or Plain yogurt (I used vanilla)
2 tsp. Honey
Just peel the avocado, and put it, along with the honey and yogurt in a food processor, bowl, or blender. Blend until smooth. (Side note: to get the avocado pit out of the avocado, just squeeze the avocado in your hand, put the flesh in the bowl, and throw the pit out)
Now just massage through damp hair, cover with a shower cap, and let it sit on your hair for 20 minutes. Then rise it out of your hair, and just for good measure, shampoo it too. And of course, being the Lushie I am, I had to apply my Mask of Magnaminty face mask as well. It was kind of AMAZING!
And that's it! Glowing, fresh hair! I have to say, this worked very well, and is SOOOO simple! Stay tuned for a couple recipes coming soon! And if you've missed Lizzie posting on the blog, be sad no more, because a Lush DIY will going up from both of us soon as well! See ya then!
