Hey Guys! It's Lizzie and Alyce!
So we've been obsessed with Lush lately (who's with us?) and due to the fact that we don't live by a Lush and that all of the Lush lip scrubs cost a FORTUNE, we decided to experiment with making our own! We enjoyed it so much, we wanted to share it with you.
And not just that, but we decided that once a month, we will be sharing an awesome lip scrub recipe with you! We have decided to call this series the #lipscrubclub! So, without further ado, welcome to the very first meeting of the #lipscrubclub!
Recipe from Ployvore:
Cookie Dough Lip Scrub:
2 tablespoons coconut oil
4 teaspoons white granulated sugar (but we used a lot more)
3 teaspoons brown sugar
Drop of vanilla extract
Drop of almond extract
Measuring cups
Container for scrub (we just used mason jars)
1. Mix together coconut oil, white granulated sugar, and brown sugar
2. Add in almond extract and vanilla extract
3. If you want a more grainy texture, add more sugar until the mixture sticks to the spoon!

If you aren't familiar with how lip scrubs work, all you do is take a little bit, rub it on your lips, then lick it off. (It sounds gross, we know, but it isn't) The coconut oil is moisturizing, and the sugar takes the dead skin off of your lips! (BTW, in the picture above, we have the lip scrub on, we're not just taking a random pic of our lips...)
When you finish making this AMAZING lip scrub, you can find a container to put it in. We used mason jars for this scrub but you can also use small, plastic containers. We've found that bead containers work really well. Make sure to wash whatever container you use before you put the lip scrub in it. We didn't do this but you can also make cute labels for your container!
That's all you have to do to make your first lip scrub!! Tune in next month when we tell you how to make another lip scrub. This has been month number one with......... #thelipscrubclub!!!
